Mercure portant Cupidon - Mercury delivering Cupid - by the French sculptor Emmanuel Hannaux. In chocolate-patinated bronze and resting on a circular pivoting base, the piece exudes both supple elegance and fiery kinetic energy in its depiction of the winged Mercury rushing the infant Cupid across the clouds. The artist’s name is inscribed on the plinth along with that of the foundry, Colin of Paris.
Measures: 830 x 230 x 460 mm.
